Paloma Mocktail & Simple Syrup Recipe

I am so excited to share these two recipes with you!

Recipe for two Paloma Mocktails:

  1. 1 cup of Fresh squeezed grapefruit juice

  2. 1 tablespoon of Homemade simple syrup (recipe below)

  3. 2 shots of @ritualzeroproof Tequila Alternative

  4. 1 can of blood orange @drinkspindrift

  5. Ice, limes and fresh mint

Lets make the simple syrup first because this needs to cool off prior to using. Take one cup of the brand Big Tree Farms Organic Brown Coconut Sugar and 1/3 cup water. Add them both to a sauce pan over medium heat, stirring until everything is melted. Remover from the burner and cool then add to a glass jar to store in your fridge. I love using this sugar because its organic, unrefined and low glycemic. Most simple syrups are so bad for us and spike our sugar, this is a much healthier option and honestly tastes way better than anything I have ever had before.

Let’s make them:

Place the grapefruit juice (juice 3-4 grapefruits), Ritual and homemade simple syrup in a shaker. Then place ice in the cups, pour 1/2 can of blood orange spindrift in each cup, shake the shaker and fill each cup to the top. Squeeze a lime wedge in the cup and garnish with another wedge along with the fresh mint.

And the list goes on. POV: practicing sobriety in front of our children is so important. Our society has normalized the way to relax and have a good time or to be fun is to consume alcohol and often times in mass amounts, which isn’t true. Our kids no matter what their ages are, are always being influenced by our actions, so the hope is if they see you relaxing, unwinding, relieving stress and having fun without alcohol they will know they can to!
