6 Weight Loss + Wellness Tips

I want to share 6 things you can focus on that will help you on your wellness and weight loss journey.

  1. Focus on getting 7-8 hours of solid sleep. One night of sleep deprivation will affect your hunger and appetite hormones. You may find yourself having cravings or feel unusually hungry just because you didn't sleep well the night before. Getting good sleep will help your hormones stay more stable.

  2. Drink half of your body weight in ounces. If you weigh 150 lbs you will want to aim for 75 ounces of water each day. Keeping your body hydrated has so many health benefits. Science suggests that water can help with weight loss in a variety of ways. It may suppress your appetite, boost your metabolism and make exercise easier and more efficient, all of which could contribute to results on the scale

  3. Eat slower and chew your food more. It has weight loss benefits. Here is a great study that was done on eating slower and chewing your food more:,to%20experience%20pleasure%20and%20satiety.

  4. Get outside and go for a 15-20 minute walk-especially after dinner. It will help regulate your sugar, boost your metabolism, can help improve your sleep and help reduce stress.

  5. Make sure you are eating enough protein at each meal. You want to make sure you are getting at least 100 grams of protein each day. This will help keep you feel satisfied and full.

  6. Cook more of your meals at home. When you eat at home you know what oils your food is cooked in and that the ingredients are as clean as possible. This is beneficial to your wellness and weight loss journey plus it will save you money.

I hope these tips are helpful and that you learned something new!
