Healthy Sweet Potato Bun, Cheeseburger, Sweet potato fries & burger sauce

As I lost 60 pounds on my wellness journey and have sustained this healthier lifestyle for over 11 years the one thing I want to learn is how not to feel hungry or deprived like I had in the past when trying to lose weight. I also wanted to enjoy and savor food while learning how to properly fuel my body without sabotaging how incredible I was feeling from within. So I learned how to make the things I enjoyed eating with healthier ingredients like this make your taste buds water juicy cheeseburger served with homemade burger sauce on a sweet potato waffles for the bun- wait until you taste this combination and yes of course those are a side of sweet potato fries on my plate-I have perfected these and I believe they are a 10/10.



Ingredients you need for the burgers:

  • Organic grass fed ground beef ( 1package made 3 good size burgers)

  • 1 tbsp. Lilies Carolina Dirt BBQ Rub https://amzn.to/3Hg67iu

  • 1 tsp. Maldon Salt


I use my hand to mix everything well together and then add to my patty press. I love using a patty press this one is a healthier option than my plastic one which I need to order as well: https://amzn.to/3HpD2B6

Then throw on your grill or use an indoor cast iron grilling skillet.


Ingredients for the sweet potato waffles (used as a bun, will make 6 of them):

  • 2 organic large baked sweet potatoes

  • 4 organic pasture raised eggs

  • 1 tbsp. Lilies Carolina Dirt BBQ Rub

  • 2 tbsp. Maldon Salt


Turn on your waffle maker. I used avocado spray so nothing sticks. Remove the skin off the potatoes. Then add everything to a dish and blend until smooth. Pour into the waffle maker and cook until brown. 


Burger Sauce:

  • ¼ cup of avocado mayo

  • 2 tbsp. organic ketchup

  • 1 tbsp. Organic mustard 

  • 1-2 Grillo's dill pickles diced up


Mix together and then enjoy on your burger.
