Gluten Free Monster Cookie Dough Bites Recipe Plus Two More Grab & Go Treats
I am so excited to share these three delicious recipes with you today!! They’re all great grab n go options to store in your fridge when you’re looking to indulge in a treat that’s not loaded with processed sugars or artificial ingredients and will leave you feeling good afterwards which is exactly what we want.
When I began my weight loss journey I knew I did not want to give up the things I enjoyed savoring but that also meant I needed to learn how to make the things I did enjoy in a healthier way. At this time I was really beginning to learn about all the ingredients in food and how that impacted our well being, I was mind blown to be honest. There were so many things I was consuming on a regular basis that had the absolute worst ingredients- so unhealthy. They were not only contributing to my weight gain, but my unhealthy over consumption as I learned many of those foods were made to be addictive. I never felt satisfied with one-ever. Lots of headaches and cravings even when I wasn't hungry would follow.
Wait until you try these!!! Keep me posted on which ones you tried and what you thought of them! Feel free to tag me on social media too! I love seeing these recipes being enjoyed in your home!
First recipe is these: Gluten Free Monster Cookie Bites (video posted on my instagram)
Ingredients:
1 cup of almond flour
1 scoop or packet of vanilla protein powder
2 Tablespoons of Organic Flaxseed (find out below why I added this)
1/2 cup of organic peanut butter (no oils or sugars added to it)
1/4 cup of organic honey
1 teaspoon of organic vanilla
1/4 tsp of Redmond salt
1/4 cup of Unreal milk chocolate gems
1/4 cup of Hu no added sugar chocolate chips
Let’s make them:
Add all ingredients to a large bowl and stir until everything is combined. Use a cookie scooper to scoop out each serving then roll in the palm of your hands.
Serving size: 18
Why add the flaxseed meal to this recipe? Flaxseed is high in fiber and omega-3 fatty acids, and it also contains lignans, which are phytoestrogens similar to the hormone estrogen. Flaxseed is often used as a natural remedy for constipation, and it may also help lower the risk of cardiovascular disease, asthma, and inflammation. Flaxseed is known to be safe for people with celiac disease or non-celiac gluten sensitivity. Love adding extra health benefits to treats when I can!
The second recipe are these Chocolate Peanut Butter Crispy Bites. They are gluten + dairy free but what they do have is a good amount of collagen, protein, fiber and omega 3s 🥳 All things that provide much needed health benefits to our bodies 🥰 Sometimes it helps to see how to make these: https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cs6xCZGJvwY/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
Nothing better than tasting something as indulgent as these are and reaping some benefits from all the healthy ingredients these are loaded with.
6 ingredients:
1. 2 1/4 cup of organic rice crispy cereal
2. 1 cup of organic peanut butter (no sugar or oils added to it)
3. 1/4 cup of organic maple syrup
4. 2 tablespoons of flaxseed meal
5. 4 tablespoons of unflavored collagen (I used vital proteins)
6. 3/4 bag of chocolate chips (gluten + dairy free)
Mix all the ingredients together minus the chocolate chips. Roll into balls. Then place in the fridge for 3 hours.
Melt the chocolate over the stove. Dip each ball into the chocolate sauce then place in the freezer for 15 minutes. Then enjoy!
You can store them in your fridge for a grab and go treat but don’t expect them to last long. These are definitely a 10/10 😋
