Clean Eating Apple Nachos
Do you ever have one of those days where you eat so well, then 7pm hits and you are ravenous? You are standing in the pantry or opening the freezer, staring right into those ice cream cartons. You don't want to ruin all your progress from the day, but ice cream would be so good right now or maybe those bag of chips are calling your name or the homemade cookies that are staring at you. Maybe you don't have any unhealthy items in your house but a relative just dropped off some homemade pie...it smells and looks so good. One piece couldn't possibly hurt you...right??? One piece wouldn't, but my problem is once I start having sugar it is so hard for me to break that cycle. That one piece of pie turns into two or the ramekin of ice cream turns into a large bowl. How about at 3pm when your kids get home from school and they are snacking on everything, then you innocently start nibbling here or there and before you know you have filled up on empty calories and you are craving for more! It is apple season here is New York and we have a bushel of apples in our home. plus are healthy & inexpensive. This is a great snack to make to bring to a party! Here is a quick simple recipe that I love to make. Your kids will love it & you won't feel guilty snacking on this with them! Tastes amazing, quick and easy to make and will kill this urges in an instant. Slice up apples, melt all natural peanut butter, then drizzle the peanut butter over the apple slices and sprinkle some mini chocolate chips. This is clean & if you are following the 21 day fix nutrition count it as 1 purple, 1 tsp & depending on how many chocolate chips you eat you h=may have to count those as a little treat! Enjoy!!
