Week Two Of Our Ultimate Reset Journey

Week 2 of the Ultimate Reset has been completed, the week went Vegan. We were unsure how we were going to do. We love dairy & we love getting protein from meat, but we were looking forward to seeing how this felt & what it would provide for our bodies. In week one we slowly transitioned out of dairy & protein. The reason for this is because dairy & red meat especially are known to place stress on your digestive system. Phase two is called the release phase. You start adding the "detox" supplement during this week, daily. This supplement was designed to help optimize the body's ability to eliminate unwanted substances. It has been formulated with milk thistle, which has been used for thousands of years to help support healthy liver function. I did experience breakouts, which is normal. The funny thing was they were not on my face, they were in my armpits. I thought this week would be more difficult than week 1 was, but I was wrong. It actually was easier, which pleasantly surprised me. The above picture was taken when we were headed to a birthday party. We drank our Shakeology & luckily did not feel deprived one bit. Instead of leaving the party feeling full & gross, we left feeling great.

The meals were filling & tasted great. Dinner for one night was a sweet baked potato, brown rice & an arugula mixed green salad with homemade creamy garlic dressing. This salad dressing has a kick to it & is so good. There is nothing better than a homemade dressing that taste so good!

Ingredients: 1/2 cup of extra virgin cold pressed olive oil 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar 3 cloves of garlic crushed 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice 1 tsp of Himalayan salt 2 Tbsp fresh chopped parsley 1/2 tsp Dijon Mustard 1 tsbp raw honey

Place all the ingredients in a blender & keep in the fridge

I was prepping the fresh fruit bowls every 3 days. For breakfast we were having 3 cups of fresh berries, kiwi, pineapple & melon.

Love that it was such an easy salad to make & tasted delicous which was even better. It was a cucumber & tomato salad. A great option to make a larger portion to bring to a party.

Cucumber & Tomato Salad Recipe (makes 2 servings): 2 tbsp. of red wine vinegar 1 tsp of balsamic vinegar 1 tbsp of fresh lemon juice 2 tsp of extra virgin cold pressed olive oil 1 medium cucumbers cut into cubes 2 tbps of red onion 1 tbsp of fresh parsley Himalayan salt is optional

Combine all the ingredients & let it sit in the fridge 2-3 hours prior to serving.

Above was one of the salads we ate for a meal. We were allowed 1/4 of an avocado sliced on our salad, which was filling & also tasted great. Super easy to prep over the week & have it ready in a mason jar for the week.

Week two has left me pleasantly surprised! I have never felt so empowered over my food in my entire life. Emotional/binge eating has been something I have battled all my life & I can say I am completely in control. Besides carrying all the benefits with me from week one, I have also lost an additional 4 pounds & the inches are coming off too, 2 inches just off my thighs! I am excited to share with you my final results next week!
