Clean Sweet And Spicy Butternut Squash Chili

This dish will not disappoint if you like sweet & spicy. Clean & 21 day fix approved. Super easy to make in the crockpot and when you return home from work your home will smell delicious.
Ingredients:
Butternut squash cubed
1 can of shoepeg corn
No salt added or low sodium black beans
No salt added diced tomatoes
2 small cans of green chilies (look for low sodium)
95% of higher lean ground beef (1.5 pounds for family of 5)
1 tsp arrowroot
2 tsp. chili spice or cayenne pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp.Smoked paprika
1 cup of water
Coconut oil1 tsp. garlic
Cook the ground beef until its brown in the 1 tsp of garlic coconut oil. Then add 1/2 cup of water with the garlic powder, smoked paprika and chili spice or cayenne pepper. In the crock pot add the butternut squash, shopped corn, tomatoes, black beans, green chilies, arrowroot and 1/2 cup of water. Cook on low for 6 hours. If you are gone to long, then cook this as soon as you get home the night prior, pull out of the fridge and serve for dinner the next day. This can also be frozen after it has been completely cooled off. You can add shredded cheddar cheese & plain greek yogurt as garnishes. My children loved the Garden of Eden Chips to dip in the chili. Hope you enjoy this as much as we did If you are following the 21 Day Fix Nutrition plan you will count this as: 1 red, 1 yellow, 1 blue
