When You Were Thin And You Still Were Not Happy

How many of us look at older pictures from years ago & think "wow I looked great", but then you think about how you felt back then & you clearly remember not feeling thin enough or good enough in your own skin & then we think to ourselves if only if I was that size or weight again I would be happy.....but would you???????

If you think you need to see a certain number on the scale or on the tag of your clothing to be happy, I am hear to tell you that if it didn't make you happy then, it is not going to make you happy now.

So what the heck am I saying? Hear me out.....

  • 2 years ago I shared my goals with my coach when I first started my journey to learning how to live a healthier lifestyle. I told her I want to weigh 140 pounds & be a size 6 because that would finally make me happy.

  • What I didn't know at the time is it was never really about the weight or the number on the labels of my clothing. But society had always told me if I was skinny, then I would be happy. Society told me if I was skinny, I would be pretty.

  • Well I am here to tell you society is WRONG!

  • Having a coach, participating in accountability groups & reading personal development has taught me to appreciate the healthy body I have. To appreciate the hard work my body does day in & day out. To appreciate the body that is decorated with scars & stretch marks that gave birth to three babies. It has taught me that my internal transformation has trumped my physical transformation.

  • I do not weigh 140 pounds & I am not a size 6, but I am truly happy in my own skin. That is pretty mind blowing to me.

  • I am happier than I have ever been & everyday I work harder at loving this women I have fought so hard to become from the inside-out.

If you truly want to transform your life, start appreciating your body & everything it does for you. The real transformation begins on the inside. We spend the first week preparing ourselves to start this journey & then a week later we start working out & eating clean.
