A Not So Nice Reminder

Last night after a 4 mile hike, we stopped at local restaurant. The problem was my children ordered onion rings and chili fries, I had some and then ate my dinner. The amount of pain I was in last night and this morning, has been a great reminder as to why I can not let that happen again. I honestly laid in bed feeling like I was going to get sick for hours and wished I had, so I could just feel better. It is crazy what an affect food has on your body after you have eaten clean for so long. I just can not handle the fried greasy foods, not even a small amount. I wish I didn't cave in...even just a little like a did. Next time, I will have no problem passing it all up...not even a smidgen. When you eat foods like that, feel sick like that; you feel as if you have set yourself back. A lot times we have that mentality of well, I messed up last night, what's an ice cream cone or a piece of cake? I will start fresh when the weekend is over. It's not worth putting it off and continuing on the downward slide. Do not make things worse because of one bad choice or one slip up. Start fresh right away. Remember that bad feeling for the next time temptation is in your face and kindly remind yourself of why it is not worth it. Back to my clean eating ways and feeling good again. If you have had too many treats and you are not feeling good about it, just stop dead in your tracks. Do not even consider one more treat and turn your setback into a comeback. Being able to recognize by feeling and seeing what positive affects clean eating has on your body, is pretty amazing. Have no clue what clean eating is or want to learn more about it, message me or call me. I highly recommend Tosca Reno's books on clean eating. They are simple to understand and quick reads.
