Stop Looking For The Secret Sauce


I have tried it all! I can not believe that over the years I never realized that everything I tried was never going to give me lasting results I was looking for, I could never do any of the things I tried in the past for the rest of my life. I decided this time around would be different. Has it happen quickly? No. Has it been easy? No. What I can tell you is that I have never worked this hard in my life, I am consistent and determined. My weight is coming off slowly, but everything I have done to make this life change for my family and I has been so worth it. I have not felt this good in years. I have more energy, I feel comfortable in my own skin, I am way more active with my kids, setting a good example for my kids and I am truly thankful I stumbled upon Beachbody. I cringe when I here of people cleansing for weeks, starving, popping pills, and trying the latest diet craze. Why would anyone want to go through that. Sure you will lose a lot of weight fast, but guess what? IT WILL ALL COME BACK ON and BONUS you may get more than what you lost originally. How do I know this? I have done it! When we have weight to lose we all have something in common and that is we want to lose it as fast as possible. We have to remember that it took time to put it on and it will take time to take it off. Some of us have diseases, illnesses, are older or medicines that make the task of losing weight more difficult. Does that mean it can't happen for us??? No it doesn't, it just means it may be harder or take longer. You truly have to get out of your own way. It is what we say in our heads that stop us from changing and we need to start convincing ourselves we can do anything we set our mind too. When I joined my first challenge group, I loved it. I loved how supportive and motivating everyone was. I learned how to eat clean, find time to workout and be better to myself. After 60 days my results were not what I wanted them to be and I decided to quit. I kept drinking Shakeology, ate pretty clean and walked when I felt like it. After two months, the little weight I lost stayed off but the inches I lost all came back on. I was so angry with myself. I decided I had to stop comparing myself to everyone around me and the only person I was competing against was myself. On my birthday last year I decided to sign up for another challenge group and 11 months later I am still here. I haven't stopped once and I am not going too. I have lost 30lbs and over 22 inches. I am down three sizes. This is all because I decided I wasn't going to compare myself to anyone else's progress and focus on my own. Has it been slow? Yes it has, but slow and steady is healthy. If I had never decided to recommit myself, I would be tired, heavier and miserable. I am done feeling that way! My best advice to everyone out there is: STOP looking for the secret sauce. There isn't a secret sauce, it's what we have known all along, but just want the fast and easy version. You have to eat healthy foods, workout, drink water and make sure you are getting all your vitamins and nutrients in (which is why I drink Shakeology). The accountability from my coach and my challenge groups have helped me stay consistent and on track. I still enjoy treats now and then. I do not feel deprived, I am not starving and if I could have everyone I love and care about do this-I would. When you feel this good, you want everyone you love and care about to feel the same way!
