This journey I am on to transform my health & body has taught me more than anything else I have ever tried in the past. I use to obsess over the scale, every .01lb mattered and I was weighing myself daily and it was no way to live. It had so much power over me or so I thought it did. I have learned there are so many non scale victories. During this process of incorporating clean eating, Shakeology & working out I have experienced so many wonderful changes and I truly am embracing them all-no matter how small they may be. Having more energy, my skin glowing, rings getting loose, belts no longer fit me, I went down a shoe size, getting rid of sugary cravings-which use to lead to binges, and the biggest thing is feeling comfortable in my own skin. I am learning to embrace this journey. I knew this wouldn't be a quick fix and my progress has been much slower when compared to others, but I don't care and I am okay with that. I am okay with that because its still happening, the weight is still coming off and so are the inches. When you start focusing on everything that is happening and not just the scale, it truly opens your eyes to a whole new world. One month I didn't lose a pound, but I lost five inches. I would rather build muscle then gain fat and that something that the scale can't show you. Instead of feeling shackled to the scale, I look at it as important tool that I step on once a month, no longer daily. This has freed me and I am glad to report the scale no longer has power.
